Wolves have experienced one of the world's worst holocausts in America and around the world. Based upon false fears that wolves are dangerous and might kill someone, and that farmers think that we should rid ourselves of these animals to save a fraction of their stock. These most unique highly intelligent beautiful creatures were haunted down for decades and in some cases with government paid bounty price tag on their tail.

By 1975, only 2 out of 50 states had any wolves at all. Alaska's arctic wolves were pretty much out of danger and wasn't haunted down like the others in the lower states. Minnesota's wolves had dwindled to a frightful few. Even today some states continued to outlaw them. Based upon false fears that wolves are dangerous and might kill someone. An example of discrimination false fears laws is in Connecticut:

"Possession of potentially dangerous animals. For the purpose of this section, the following shall be considered as potentially dangerous animals. . . . the wolf. . . . No person shall possess a potentially dangerous animal. Any such animal illegally possessed may be ordered seized by the Commissioner of Environment Protection."

Their mere existence is illegal, and in many states it’s illegal to have a wolf unless you are doing scientific research and must be approved of rigid requirements to obtain a special permit by a state wild life association in which only a lucky few are approved.

To date, (unlike dogs) there is no known evidence that wolves ever killed anyone and humans have shot, poisoned, butchered, maimed, and massacred them nearly out of existence. After all this, wolves still love humans.

It is really sad snub politics of the U.S. Government that it refuses to test the dog rabies vaccines on wolves to see if in fact that vaccine works on wolves too. It would cost only a fraction of what the U.S. Government spent on the development of the vaccine for dogs. Instead dogs are giving special preferences and wolves get their heads chopped off and sent to a college laboratory to be checked for rabies. It is true, that if a dog gets in trouble they will spend 3 days in the doggy lockup and the owner can later retrieve it. If a wolf gets in trouble, it get mutilated.

Why is the U.S. Government declining to test the outcome of dog rabies vaccine on wolves which is currently an endangered species? Maybe its to help states like Maryland pass unjust laws making the presence of a wolf in their state illegal. Section of the Maryland law includes the following:

"A person or a incorporated or unincorporated organization may not harbor or import any live wolves. . . . or hybrids, for which there is no U.S.D.A. certified vaccine against rabies. . . . Wolf x dog hybrids are considered to be wolves and therefore are not allowed."

One of the reasons why I think that wolves love us so much is because they think that we are as bright as they are. In many ways, wolves are socially like the human race. Also evidences have shown that wolves are very tame animals, they hunt game for food but are not dangerous toward humans. However, when mix breeding wolves with dogs, they may not be as tame and stands a far better chance of becoming dangerous toward humans.

I bonded well with my wolf “Angel” I love her dearly, sometimes I look into her eyes that seem to be seeing right through me and reading my thoughts which is being ashamed of my race for what we done to her race, how stupid and selfish our race can be.

Angel was born in the mountain of Tennessee by a mother that was ¾ arctic and ¼ timber wolf. The father of angel was a pure bred arctic wolf. The people that lived there raised wolves and sold them for market prices. The wolves clad didn’t accept her well and considered her an outcaste. Angel was in danger of losing her life and had been abused by other wolves when I obtained her.

Angel was 3 months old when I was online with my niece Angel Felts, we went through names at dognames.com and I turned to Angel Felts and told her “I don’t like these names, Angel.” The light bulb went off in my head, I really like the name Angel, and it fit just right for a white wolf. The last few of the rotating pictures are of Angel when she was a puppy.

Angel became accustomed to people quickly, taking her everywhere I go, even to the flee markets and in setting up on side of the road to sell new stuff with work clothes. There was a barn in Cleveland Tenn. that changed into an auction, they would let me take Angel in there and she would howl for the folks there. During the right time of the year, grasshoppers would blossom in the grass outside the barn and Angel would end up with a belly full of grasshoppers. We would often share an ice cream cone together, she had this sense of sharing too, taking one lick at a time, and would just nipple once we got down to the cone.

Angel never needed to be potty-trained, wolves don’t normally use the bathroom in their own quarters, she will bark once at the door to let me know she needs to go. If I’m asleep and don’t wake up to let her out, she will lick my face to wake me up. I also noticed her picking up on the English language she knows dozens of words and she seems to be training herself in understanding some dialogue that I was having with others. An example was when I was telling someone I was taking Angel for a walk, by the time I turned around she had made a b-line for the door and had her tail wagging announcing that she was ready with a high-pitched bark.

Notice that Angel had been watching male dogs, now she'll go around and find a tree or a pole to pees on it just like a male dog does. In Cleveland Tenn., two of her friends are horses that lived down the street from us. At first, both the horses and angel were highly suspicious of one another but after months of visits they are now used to one another and sometimes she even goes under the fence and plays with the horses doing the wolf dance and chasing them. They will sometimes turn around and chase her for a bit. I just sit back and enjoy the scene.

Angel normally howl everyday, however, I remember the first time I took her to Richmond VA, she became strangely very quiet and wouldn’t howl for a couple of weeks. The environment changed from the country to the big city, I think she thought she entered another planet once she hit the big city life. The Belle Island on the James River was her favorite, sometimes she draws crowds around to watch her haunt, which can be a quite funny scene as they laugh watching her in tall grass as she hops around like the rabbits she was haunting. She caught rabbits, snakes, chipmunks, muskrats, fish, and grasshoppers on the island.

Angel is a unique animal that has appear to have comparable human emotions and seem to understand exactly what going on around her more than any animal I ever met. She like a celebrity among the homeless community in Richmond VA and got to know hundreds of them. I think she felt a bond with them, due to the fact that they too had been considered an outcaste, so there was this strange connection she had with homeless people and loved them very much and many of them are crazy about her.

One winter day while on Belle Island, angel fell through the thin part of the ice, I kept calling for her as she swim towards me, she tried to get back on the ice but it would break, after several breaks of the ice and swimming a distance I noticed her slowing down and wasn’t no longer swimming frantically. So I decided it was time for me to get wet and scaled down my clothing to my long johns and started breaking the ice in a path towards her, in a manner of 30 seconds I reached her and pulled her back to the rocks. I used my coat to dry her off and get her blood circulation going again. To my surprise, after about 10 minutes she was happily doing the wolf dance like I never seen before, I just laugh as I watched her dance around like a crazy wolf.. It was her day to cherished, the day her best buddy saved her life.
