Expressing appreciation to Nancy Warman for her service to the City of Richmond and to the homeless community

WHEREAS, Nancy Warman has spent many years of devotion in pastoral work on behalf of Grace and Holy Trinity Church in its direct assistance to people in need that has helped many people avoided homelessness, and that has helped many people overcome homelessness.
WHEREAS, during these years, she has been extremely active in support of provider programs in place in the Richmond Metropolitan Area that have provided direct assistance in feeding, sheltering, and other emergency assistance to homeless and poverty-stricken people.
WHEREAS, during these years, she provided leadership for, and currently chairs an orgnaization of Homeless Service Providers in which representatives of the helping community meet monthly to exchange information and to assist each other in providing aid to the homeless.
WHEREAS, because of these activities on behalf of the homeless and poverty-stricken, she has been and is an inspiration to the Richmond Metropolitan Area in selfless help to those in need.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RICHMOND:
That the Council of the City of Richmond hereby expresses its appreciation to Nancy Warman for this dedicated service to the City of Richmond and to the Richmond Metropolitan Area; for this example of compassion towards Richmond's homeless and poverty-stricken people; and for this selfless work in assistance to those in need.
