Statement by John M. Felts
Matthew Hilgeford turned to me one day and said 'lets start a group," It was his ideal and he was the architect of the formation of a homeless advocacy group that gain such popularity and power never before seen in the history of Richmond Virginia of a group representing a disenfranchised community. I was in it for the ride and it was one hell of a ride that I'll never forget. The accomplishments and struggles of the group were no less than that of a unique civil rights movement.
