PIERO CIVIDALLI
Drawing Exhibition
November 1995
Pe'er Fine Art Gallery, Tel-Aviv
Piero Cividalli was born in Florence, Italy, in 1926 and immigrated to Israel
in 1939. He is a descendant of a long line of Jewish-Italian scholars
and artists. Among his ancestors is well-known painter Vito D'Ancona
(1825-1884).
Cividalli began his artistic education with the painter and illustrator
Avigdor (Renzo) Luizada (also of Italian descent). In the early 1950's
he continued his art studies in Florence. Since his return to Israel he
has been painting continuously, besides teaching painting and history of
art for many years, until his retirement.
During the years Piero Cividalli took part in several group-exhibitions
and presented his works in some individual exhibitions.
