Thought of the Month...

(stolen from  Jack Handey)
"Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself. Mankind. Basically, it's made up of two separate words- 'mank' and 'ind.' What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind."

How YOU can get involved!...

Have you ever heard of a HOUSE CONCERT? Well, you can host a House Concert for Angie in your very own home!!! It's SIMPLE! Just invite 30-40 friends, set out some snacks, and sell tickets at the door (usually $8-$15). Then Angie will come and fill your living room, basement, garage, or barn (get creative!) with her tunes!!! You don't even have to worry about a sound system since it is all beautifully acoustic! House Concerts are sprouting up all over the United States as a grass-roots way for musicians and music lovers to come together for a fun time in a more intimate setting. Without the middle man, the artist gets the benefit of taking home a little more moolah and the listener gets the benefit of a more personal experience with the music and it's creator! Angie has car; will travel.....
So if you are interested, please email Angie at <arheimann@earthlink.net>

If  you have heard and enjoyed either of Angie's CD's, you can help Angie by promoting her music to others! You can do this by going to <www.angieheimann.com> , clicking on the CD icons, and writing reviews of her CD's under the heading REVIEWS! This way other people who have never heard her music will be able to read your opinions!

Update from Angie...

Hello, all! Angie here. As I sit amidst a pile of kittens, (a story you will hear more of at a show, I'm sure!) I am thrilled to tell you that as of today, the beautiful and brilliant Ms. Emily Walter has joined the staff of Cinnamon Bones Music (population: 2!) ! She will be kicking my patootie into gear and helping out with monthly mailings such as this, radio promotion, internet stuff, and other publicity. She rocks the city of Kent, Ohio. Cheers to Emily.

And yee-ha to Eric Jacobson, who is now the official website designer and updater! Anything you like on the website is because of him! He is a truly gifted web designer, (and an excellent brother-in-law!)

Other news is that this past month, we hosted our first house concert for a performer named Michael McNevin. He dazzled us, and we loved our first house concert experience. I freaked out about not knowing if we made enough chili, but it all turned out just fine in the end.

Lately, I have been traveling quite a bit in our new-used mini-van. If anyone has suggestions, she (the van) has not been named yet (not even sure if she is a she!) E-mail me your suggestions! We're also not sure what to name our new kitty, the mama of the kittens I am sitting amidst. Anyway, what I started to say is that I like all this traveling. I have been to WV, NY and PA so far this fall, and will still be getting to NJ and IL and ME! Most of these shows have been at colleges and universities. It has been a good time.

Well, that's all for my portion of the newsletter. I hope you all are enjoying this autumn. - Angie
