   Mi chiamo Carla e sono un'italiana che vive in Grecia. Abito a circa 7 Km. dal centro di Atene e da casa mia vedo sia il mare, sia l'Acropoli con il Partenone. Ho tre figli grandi e abbastanza tempo libero. Lavoro la pasta di mais da una decina di mesi. Ho cominciato a creare bamboline e ghirlande con la pasta di sale tre anni fa (1999) pero', quando mia nipote Laura mi ha mandato un libro dall'Italia con bambole in pasta di mais (autunno 2001), in un minuto ho deciso di abbandonare la pasta al sale anche perche' quest'ultima ha parecchi svantaggi (Vedi pasta di sale).
   Lavorare la pasta di mais non e' facile, data l'elasticita' dell'impasto (Vedi pasta di mais)., pero' da' grandi soddisfazioni. Georgia, mia figlia, ha provato anche lei a "creare" con la pasta di mais e, come vedrete, le sue bamboline sono molto carine. Alex, il piu' giovane dei miei figli, vedendo le mie "opere d'arte" e la mia passione per il Net surfing, ha deciso di preparare un sito tutto mio e di regalarmelo. In questo sito vedrete alcuni dei miei primi lavori con la pasta di sale e altri con la pasta di mais. Due cosette su di me. Adoro la musica, i libri di Umberto Eco, l'inverno e vorrei vivere a Firenze.

   My name is Carla and I'm an Italian living in Greece. I live about 7Km from the center of Athens and from my house I can see both the sea and the Acropolis - with its breathtaking Parthenon. I have three grown children and plenty of free time. I started working with the salt dough three years ago (1999). When my niece Laura sent me a book on corn-flour dough dolls (autumn 2001), I immediately decided to abandon the salt dough because of its many disadvantages (See salt dough).
   Working with corn flour dough isn't easy as it is rather "rubbery" (See corn flour dough).- it is, however, a very satisfying pastime. My daughter Georgia has also tried to "create" using corn-flour dough and as you will see in the galleries, her dolls are very pretty. Alex, my youngest child seeing my "works of art" and knowing of my netsurfing passion, decided to create this website for me.
In this website you will see some of my early works with salt-dough and some of my more recent corn-flour dough works. A few things about me: I love music, the books of Umberto Eco, wintertime and I would like to live in Florence.
