We are a group of cousins who have been working to rediscover our roots. Our common ancestor was Laibush Cynowiec of Pinsk (formerly part of the Polish Empire, now part of Belarus). He was the father of eleven children: Charne, Zelig, Abraham, Riveh, Faivel, Golde, Esther Leah, Eshke, Rachmiel, Josef(Yussel), and Leizer(Eleizer). A number of their children came to the United States and adopted the name Sinowitz. Others found their way to South America and kept the name Cynowiec
