To the End

VISUAL

We humans rely so heavily on eyesight that it has become our most developed sense, even at the cost of others. It comes so naturally: in a new situation, our first action is to look around and visually take in our surroundings. But dependency refines as well, and the sense of sight is no longer quite as primal as it once (perhaps) was: we are able to think about visual input in deep and complex ways that elude us with olfactory input. Instinct and thought, reaction and deliberation... this paradoxical combination makes for a similarly fascinating branch of art.
