As Lord has Lotus in His navel and as He shines as the sun in the hearts of devotees, He is called 'Padmanabhaa'. He will be holding Lotus and Disc on the upper left and right hands and Club and Conch on the lower left and right hands. He is the Governing power of the  letter 'De' of Gayathri Mantra, the letter 'Va' of Mahamantra, 'Pani Tattva'  one of the 24 Tattvas and Urdhvapundra marked on the left side of the throat. He is the custodian of the dish prepared with Vegetables, lunar month of 'Asvayuja'  and 'Kumbharasi'. He dwells in the "Purnanaadi". He is to be meditated on while going to sleep.
