Oxford City FC

This site has been created to provide Oxford City Football Club with a presence on the "World Wide Web".

My initial outlook for the purpose, content and design of this site was to provide unbiased and up-to-date information which is useful, interesting and professional in its appearance.

Animations, graphics and lots of different colours in a web-site can make them visually appealing, but I feel that it is a fine line which we walk when trying to balance too many fancy graphics with text. If the textual content is good enough - this will make up for the lack of other attractions (distractions) on the site. I will of course always look to incorporate additional/appropriate graphics etc. but only use them when I feel that they will enhance the site's content and appearance.

This site is by no means the finished article as there will be constant updates, variations and improvements that will be taking place during its existence on the web. If I had waited until I was perfectly happy with it, a constant "Under Construction" notice would have greeted visitors. I feel that it is better to have a base to work with and go from there - I hope that you agree.

Match reports will not be written by myself, as hopefully I will actually be playing in the games, but will be taken from our local newspaper The Oxford Mail. I would be delighted to have match reports from "Away Team" newspapers, or even from people who have watched the game and want to send in their own analysis, article or contribution. All other information, articles etc. in the site will be from sources in and around the club and from myself.

This site is not financially supported by Oxford City FC or it's immediate sponsors, however, to enable me to continue to improve on what I have produced and to continue with a quality service I will require some kind of financial support. Check out the great rates available to advertise on this web-site, or even to show your support by sending "Good Luck" wishes to the team by having your name on the site.

All comments and suggestions about the site, the club, the players, the supporters etc will be gratefully received - hopefully constructive if not complimentary! You can e-mail me directly or post your comments straight onto the Comments/Guestbook for others to view.

I hope that you enjoy your brief visit to the Oxford City web-site and feel that you want to check out it's (and the team's) progress over the season.........and future seasons.

Cheers
