Striders Coaching Advisory Group

Marathon Training

The Groups Objective/goal  -  to provide the tools for Striders aspiring to run marathons to fulfil their potential or achieve their own targets. Should be FUN - this is a hobby not a job!!! More Striders having the ability to complete a marathon. Getting round in one piece is a perfectly sound goal.

Disclaimer : All runners take part in a marathon at their own risk. They must be healthy before they undertake such an arduous race.
The Striders Coaching Advisory Group have set up these pages to offer advice but cannot bear any responsibility for any illness or injury that may occur should runners decide to follow our guidance.
Striders of Croydon do not formally recommend or endorse the equipment or training schedules listed. As with any products or services, consumers / runners should investigate and determine on their own, which equipment, schedule or training plan best fits their needs, abilities and level of fitness.

These web pages are a work in progress. Any feedback which will help improve these guidelines for this year and next year will be very much appreciated.
